Here is what people say:
I wanted to let you know how including The Story of Pawn has made a difference for our students this year. At Horizon Science Academy Toledo, we offer Chess Club to students in grades 1-8. Learning moves and strategies is the name of the game. One issue we encountered was in trying to get our students to understand the concepts behind the moves and the reasons for the strategy. Incorporating The Story of Pawn books into our instruction has made a big difference and helped us accomplish that missing piece of learning the game. We have seen such strides in the skills, particularly with our younger students, as a result of their reading The Story of Pawn. This series has brought the concepts of chess to life for our students. Thanks again for introducing the world of Pawn to our students. Mary G. Rizza, Ph.D. Horizon Science Academy Toledo.

My students love the Mighty Pawn books. They provide a fanciful approach to real world situations. My children could not put the books down. These books definitely teach skills such as problem solving and teamwork, which we value highly in our school program. The chess component is a big draw, as many of our children are learning to love and enjoy the game of chess. Anna McComb, Director, Kidztown After School, Ormond Beach, Florida.

An entertaining story that will engage your children with fun rhymes while learning the terminology and rules of chess. Stephanie Graeber, mom of 3 bookworms, PTA volunteer, and former K-12 Art teacher.
