Half Chocolate and Half Vanila Pound Cake : Indian Food & Cooking Recipes

Ingredients
226gms butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups cake flour (non rising)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2. tablespoon baking cocoa powder
40 ml hot water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt

Cooking Instructions
1.In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well till the mixture smooth.

2.Combine the flour, baking powder and salt.Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Then add vanilla extract and mix again.

3.Now transfer half mixture to another bowl.

4.Mix the cocoa powder in hot water and make a smooth paste and mix it with the half mixture removed aside. Mix well.

5.Grease the cake pan and tilt the cake pan slightly (you may keep a small bowl under one side of the pan) and pour chocolate cake mixture. With the help of a spatula spread the mixture evenly. Now place the pan on flat surface and pour the other mixture.

6. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes before removing.
