Historical Event on 11/1/1948
An Indian brigade group supported by the 7th Cavalry (Stuart tanks) broke through the Great Himalayan Range at Zojila to drive out the invaders from Ladakh district. At approximately 3,500 metres, this was the highest point in the history of warfare that tanks had operated.

11/25/2000	Admiral Dom Vasco-da-Gama (c.1469-1524)-I, Count of Vidigueira, met the Jamerin of Calicut after arriving in India three days ago at Malabar Coast. He was joined by an experienced Gujarati pilot at Malindi. He was the 6th Governor and 2nd Viceroy of India.
